Make it Stop!

I try really hard not to get political here or on Facebook. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions even if those opinions are the polar opposite of mine. Staying quiet during this horrific election period has proven harder than ever, and yet, so far my head has not physically exploded.

Now that we are almost to the end I am hopeful that I’ll make it through without offending anyone. I am praying that once this is all over some semblance of sanity will return and that people will once again be capable of being kind to one another. What do you think?

Absolutely…I fell from graces yesterday as I reacted in some political banter. Bottom line, we just have a few more days to get through…but then what? Nice reminder Bridget!

Unfortunately, I don’t believe it’s not going to stop for a long while after the election results are in. There is going to be a lot of unhappy people who will moan and groan and lose their minds, as well as a lot of people who will be gloating and insulting. Throughout Obama’s entire term, the haters posted negative and nasty things about him. People just don’t seem to be able to control themselves. It’s very draining and hard to stay out of.

I’m sure I’ve offended some with my tweets, FB posts, and even my blog posts. If I offend with what I see as truth then that is not a problem on my side of the fence, but a problem on the side of the offended. Our problem today is that too many people are offended about too many things without listening to reason. I think a lot of people are voting with their emotions this year and not by logically figuring out what is best. But maybe that’s usually been the case and it’s just culminated into craziness this time around.

I don’t think the discord will stop with the election if one candidate is elected while I think the other will actually get things done if elected. No matter what, there are going to be a lot of hard feelings between former friends and unhappy family members after next Tuesday. Not sure how all that gets healed or if it even does.
